Silver Dollar

I have several coins that I am wondering about but this peace dollar has me wondering its true worth . I've had several offers (from friends of friends) because I've never listed any of my coins, the best being $300. ! I figured if someone was offering that much,it had to have some value ! I have never had a coin graded or anything,I don't understand all that stuff ! So, if anyone has any info. that would (or could) help me be a bit knowledgable about coins,please jump in.....I need all the help I can get !

Depends entirely on grade/conditon of the coin (as well as which of three mints produced it).

Note the above site, and Red Book, give a value. Most coin dealers sell below "book", and to buy a coin from you they'll further need to lower what they will pay so they get a margin. Sometimes 50% below the book! Think how long they may have to hang onto a coin before someone comes along wanting it.
