Ok, it's just a spill of two Morgans, but it doubled my silver dollar lifetime total! I was hunting for Civil War relics with my digging partner (we both swing the CTX), and thought I was digging up a belt plate at first until the large silver disc shot out of the dirt. After the shock wore off, I re-scanned the area and got an identical signal. Sure enough, Morgan number two emerged. It was a good day, to say the least. We found some Civil War relics also and, not to be outdone, my partner dug an 18k gold men's ring that has probably $500 of gold in it.

dang!!! nice silver spill

Thanks! I bet the poor fella was really missing his $2 back in 1901. Imagine what that would have bought back then.

Hey, I would give you THREE dollars for them.....Good new US paper money, not that archaic metal stuff! Haha!
Nice bullet variety- that big, flattened one was at speed when it hit something!

I would have been happy with the lead!! Big silver is good too :icon_thumright:

Sweeeeeet I've found 1 in all my years detecting a 1921 it's a prize that's one heck of a find there Well done

That's what im talkin about. Great finds.:icon_thumright:

Nice, any mint marks on the reverse? There's also a doubled die reverse version of the 1900 that's worth a bit more.

Super Nice Finds...!
actually, both of you guys did very well...!

Excellent finds MidMo. I have found 2 Morgan's in the same outing ( 5 ft. apart ) but never 2 in the same hole. They do get your blood moving !

What an outing! Holy crap! 2 Morgans? That is so fantastic. I had never found one for years of hunting. Then I was fortunate to find 3 in a 9 month span and it's been a year now since I've seen one. Funny how this hobby works!

1900 and 1901 Morgans. Don't think they were lost in 1901. Judging by the wear, more like 1910, maybe later.

Double tap! Bet that blew your ears off?

Today it would go something like this...

I got two dollars in the jukebox, five dollars in my pocket, two more just in case that don't do the trick... et cetera. :)

Awesome finds!

Keep it going!

Cheers.
