Hi all, I found this silver disc at a school track and field arena. My White's MXT indicated it was a dollar and I dug it at 8". I came out of the ground just like the photo without any tarnish. When I recovered it I thought I had found a silver dollar but no such luck. It is just a bit larger than a silver dollar and it is heavy. I don't have a clue as to what it is, but what I do know, its not a dollar. Oh well next time. HH Dennis in Idaho

Maybe a silver medal of some sort? Have it tested or use some silver tester... it's called "silver black" (hydrochloric or muriatic acid)

Nice dig!

Neat find, maybe a piece from a trophy? HH, Mike

Yeah that looks like part of a trophy or medal. Hope it's silver too....
