Went out to one of my usuall hunting fields for a little while after work, first signal was the Barber :headbang: this was a very unexpected find here. Then this little kids ring, then the rosie :headbang: A few lincolns later it was dark, could barely read my meter, then this merc pops out at 6 inches. a very good hunt. enjoy the pics,

You may need to rethink that field! Wonder about its past with that Barber there.

Totally agree. Something was there, maybe a home or 2 or?? Congrats on the silver finds....good hunt :headbang:

You cant see it in the first two pictures, but there are impressions in the ground that show an earlier structure once stood there. I did dig a few roofing nails and other garbage. This is my 3rd time here and only dug wheats and clad on those hunts. But, yes the dime is a mystery as to how old the property actually goes back. ill have to reasearch a few more maps. Its a small little lot that I hunt after work for an hour or so when i have the time.
Thanks everyone for all the kind replies.

Sweet hunt!! Congratulations on the triple dime score...

I'D say a nice quad there. Setting for the kid's ring looks recessed: a good indication and way to protect the stone from accidental damage. Wish I could find me a nice Barber like that! Interesting area photos: looks like a lot of potential there. Is that a volleyball net or a tennis net in the first photo?

Volleyball net, right where i found the merc, all the others were found in the back section.

Great looking finds there prolab69, :notworthy: this park obviously has some age. I bet you could find something relating to it at the local library or call the local historical society. :icon_thumright:
