Silver Cup, What is it? What is it for?

I have this Silver Cup. It is 2 1/8 inches High, by 2 inches at the base. It is stamped ITALY on the bottom. I don't know how old it is, but it doesn't look like there is much age to it. It heights about 13 grams (lite weight). What is it? What is it used for? Any information is very appreciated. Thank You All.
