Hey everyone,

This is the heaviest silver baby's cup I've ever seen. It's 116g. It has the Eagle 25 mark, Sterling 925 Mexico but no makers mark. Little Book of Mexican Silver Hallmarks says Eagle 25 is: Tango Aceves, Kimberly, Gerardo Lopez, ME, Nieman Marcus, Sigfredo Pineda. This is a really nice cup, but I've had no luck figuring out the maker. I bought it from a really wealthy lady who is likely in her 70s. She said it was her baby cup.

I also bought this painting from the same lady. It looks like a legit oil painting and I was hoping it was a Fernando Botero, but it seems it is a high quality reproduction. Never saw something like this before.

This was attached to a cheap pocket knife. Because of this site, I knew it was gold. Popped it off and 2.3g of 10K and what most likely is a diamond.

Finally, I saw some posts about old glasses and if they are gold or not. I bought these a while back. I assumed they gold filled, but they looked cool and where in the original case which has a local address. Acid tested them and they are at least 10K.

Thanks TNET! These finds are from things I learned here.

It is great to see that you take what you see here and produce awesome results. It’s great people here share their knowledge. I’ve learned a lot myself

pop that DHL back on the knife with crazy glue. Someone may collect shipping gizmos and pay a lot more than melt. right now melt is $41.21

You may never find the maker of that cup. Mexican hallmarks are plentiful and tricky to say the least. Only the famous makers will you be able to ID them easily. I have found, in the past few years, if it doesn't jump right out at you from the mark, then it is a lesser known or even unknown maker. the eagle indicates it is 1978 or before. Don't settle for melt for this, you should be able to get at least double that on eBay or other sites. It is particularly good that the round spot wasn't engraved, giving the next buyer the opportunity to put their own on it.

Thanks everyone....at Cyberdan....the pocket knife is not in great shape so will likely just leave it as is.
