This is a 3-hunt combo posting...
New Drop / Old drop: I had the opportunity to hit up a large village yard of the Presbytarian Parsonage that the church has owned since it was built in 1872. I had md it a few years ago with my old minelab but I knew with my new F70 that I wanted to give it another try. It's near a middle school and is also a corner lot next to public parking so I didn't dig all the memorial cents but had my share of dimes and quarters again (not pictured). My original hunt there landed me a few IH's, a civil war token, a seated dime, a Merc, wheaties and a very thin worn out large cent, possibly colonial or English. This time around I plucked out the deeper targets, managed a few wheaties, two silver dimes ('42 Merc & 62-D Rosie) and a sterling silver friendship ring surely is a newer drop within the grass roots. I'm happy with it! There was even a old marble come up out of a hole when digging a target
Earlier in the month I received access to a field that I've been eyeballing for some time now. Got quite a few memorial cents but not before recovering a nice Walker! I've never got a Walker out of a field before, it was awsome I also dug my 1st ever boot spur along with 3 horse shoes and a big old buckle. I think that cowboy had a bad day lol ...and of course the eyball finds of marbles.
. . .and finally a revisit to a differant old field that I pain stakingly keep trying to get something out of as it's loaded up with trash like crazy. The farmer just tilled and turned it over so for a bit today I was extremely choosy on what signals to dig and I did ok with a 1909 plain wheatie no DVD, and a silver baby ring. I can't even get it onto my pinky finger! ...and more eyeball finds of marbles.
