Metal detecting has been a generous affair these past two hunts, and the silver thirst has definitely been quenched. I hooked up with Bob, “EZrider” at a park this past Saturday. Great guy to hunt with and very professional in his handling of plugs and trash. This was my off weekend, so it was more a matter of getting out there and enjoying the few hours I had to detect as opposed to the serious effort that I put in on my full day hunts. I did have a small plan in my mind in regards to what locations could produce. One was a muddy affair, where the hole fills up with water as soon as you remove dirt. I worked that crap until it splattered out a Washington Quarter.
Moving along, there was an area that I had marked in my mind which had produced several dimes for me and Tom and I pretty much worked it over and over again, with no particular grid pattern or order. Just wandering within the boundaries. A Merc appeared, followed by a Rosie and then another Merc. I managed to capture the Quarter and merc on my aging High8 video camera, but will see if I can get some more footage before putting another video together. The two mercs were in better than average shape, one more than the other. Although not in the city this weekend, Tom was not going to allow me to hold a lead and took it upon himself to even the score this weekend! You’re hard to keep up with partner! Photos enclosed.

Nice silver,

Man it's a real pleasure hunting with a person who know's the hobby. Can't tell you how many times I've hunted with someone who just couldn't take there trash or fill there holes. That stuff really irritates me. I spend more time filling there holes than hunting. There are some bad apples out there that ruin it for all of us.

It was good hunting with you Ricardo! Looking forward to hitting it hard this sat. With the nice weather this week it may just dry it up a bit

Nice finds Ricardo, Congrats on the silver. Sounds like you and EZrider had a good time

WTG Ricardo! Oh man, I couldn't believe I had to work Saturday (this weekend too :( ) The weather report said it was supposed to rain! Boy, did they ever get that wrong!

congrats on the silver! What did Tom get?

Me? I got out for about an hour Sunday afternoon. Didn't find much but I did miss the photo op of a lifetime. A (Coopers) hawk came down out of a tree no further than 5 feet away from me with a squirrel in his talons. What a beautiful bird. Watched him take off a short time later and take his catch to another tree. Awesome site.

Ricardo,
Sure is nice looking silver. Can't wait to see what majack you put into the video.

WTG buddy!!!Every time you hunt you are getting big silver numbers ,to keep up with you with my M6 I've got to hunt twice as many times!Just like this weekend,it took 2 hunts for me to get my 4,while you blasted em out in 1.If you had every weekend free, you would have a seriour shot at 150 silvers this year, but of course families come first.
