I purchased an item on ebay a few weeks ago and well the seller made a mistake.. the shipper sent me this coin that I have no idea what it is.. I have been told it's real silver other than that no clue of where it's from.. I know it's not from the US.. I paid a good amount of money for the item I wanted on ebay so the shipper is willing to refund it as long as I send back this coin but before I do that I want to make sure I am not sending this back and it's worth more than the money I paid.. Can anyone help me identify this coin please???? coin2.jpgcoin3.jpg

PS: Welcome to Treasure Net !!
Most likely a restrike of a 1790 Austrian coin (one of the most popular world coins collected).
Recent sales start at about $21.00 and higher values depend on condition and the price of silver.

Thats it although I know you meant 1780:thumbsup: As its been restriked as 'trade' with the same date its more like a silver token than a coin & hard to tell if its 1780 or later! Bullion is a more appropriate price than collectors.

So you expect the seller to do the right thing because it was a mistake, but if the coin is worth more you wouldn't do the right thing? This seems to be the basic buyer philosophy when it comes to buying coins online.... and that is.... as long as I don't come out on the short end screw the seller, and who cares about the circumstances, or what's right.
