Hi guys. Today I found this coin in an area where usually I find coins from 4-1 st century. I already did a research on web but without results. I would say that it can be a Dracula of Epidamus or Durrachium.
Can anyone help me Id this?
Thanks

If that is Pegasus on the reverse, the coin might be from Syracuse.....Joe McDonough

I think you've got it already Vince. Drachm of Epidamnos-Dyrrachium circa 250bc. Head of Heracles on one side, Pegasus on the other.

There are 2 examples on wildwinds:

Illyria, Epidamnos-Dyrrachium AR Drachm. ca 250 BC. Head of Herakles in lionskin / DYP, retrograde, Pegasus flying right. SNG Cop 433, BMC 27-31. * Sear GCV sg1896 * WildWinds.com

You're finding some great coins!

Jamie

Thanks JamieD
I had an idea because of the area where I found it but I couldn't find it on the web. You nailed it. I searched for a coin with pegasus and I found a lot from Syracuse and a lot of Alexander the Great and I was confused.
Thanks man.
