Hooked up with jimzz977 from Tnet today on his turf. We were going to do some field hunting, but, he recommended a construction site along an old canal. I'm sure glad he did, it turned into a pretty good day. First coin of the day, jimzz977, scored a Mexican centavo. I got on a roll and scored the merc, buff and the fob? We moved over across the road and the first hit for was the 1856 1/4 reale, the town was founded in 1855, so, the coin dated the site. The next cool find, jimzz977 scored a woman heel plate. The bottle was a surface find, not sure it's that old since it has a screw top. It was a beautiful day to hunt here in the Southwest, low 70's and sunny.

Congrats on having that successful hunt with Jimzz. It was in the mid 40's here today. Was warm enough to get out. I really like that 1/4 real. Just added it to my bucket list.
