Had a morning hunt with pl8man and a quick afternoon hunt today. Dug a +32 to +35 on my MXT and it turned out to be a Silver Bracelet on that dig. Also found 2 rings on the first hunt. Still having the urge to hunt, I went out to a different spot with the fam. There I dug a 1948 Rosie and another junk ring. I found the Rosie in an area that had been scratched by the earth-movers near some new buildings under construction. Some pics are from before and after cleaning. Thanks for looking. Happy New Years!

Thanks Mr. Tuff . ;D
Really? I didn't know that. And why? Because it looks so much better I think.
How would you suggest to clean such a coin then? ???

Cleaning the coin strips the original surfaces, and gives it an unnatural look, and it may never return to the same state when it retones. Coin collectors, like many other collectors, like items as close to the original condition as possible.

For me, cleaning silver usually only requires soap and water. This should be done carefully as dirt can easily scratch the coin.

Two thoughts for ya: the Boy Scout trefoil pin not a usual USA one, might be from another country, or collectible? Also, the flower thing - any chance the back is silver?

Just a thought!
