Hunted a big old park today, and scored my second Merc, this year, a 1936. Got 3 silvers this year, all dimes. Cold and windy, long johns, and Carharts, and gloves. Good hunting, just gotta dress for it:laughing7: 101_7085.JPG101_7086.JPG The season is getting short here, ground froze in spots:BangHead:

Nice silver and little charm! Congrats!

I Have to change once the ground freezes. The beach; Dry sand last to freeze.......The woods; Trees and ground cover make it diggable, well into cold weather...............The Fairgrounds; Horse/livestock barns are open air, with roofs and dirt floors, takes a long time for frost to settle in..........................just a matter of how bad do you want to go, and how many layers can you put on, and still get down to dig, and get back up!!!!

Nice hunt cooper1841. :icon_thumleft: Congrats on the Merc and cute charm. Glad you're still getting out and yes, it is getting cold out there! :sadsmiley:

I plan at least one more decent hunt soon here. Supposed to be warmer this weekend.

Not sure if it's true but I've heard that when the ground freezes, it can push deep items to the surface or within detecting range. If this is true, this is a needed part of the cycle to help keep finding the goods and may be a necessary evil. Congrats on the Silver. I was in a dry spell too for about a year and hit two the same weekend, a 16 merc and a 44. I'll take all I can. :icon_thumright:

Nice finds. I love those mercury dimes.

Nice finds! Hope you get out a few more times this year. Don't think I have seen a spark plug gap tool posted before, lol.

Never seen one with glass in the center. Wonder what the object of that was?
