Have any of you guys looked into these Silver Art Bars lately? If you silver stacker's don't mind what your one oz of silver looks like, you might want to take a look at them on ebay, or Google them for dealers specializing in SAB's. Lots of choices still left out there. No telling how many were melted down back when silver hit $50 bucks. Wouldn't cost you a whole lot to make a specialty collection of certain theme's. While surfing around found several odd theme one oz bars selling for $34. Most were in the $40 dollar range. There was even a porn series. Personally I liked the Western and Indian Bars. Most were $40 bucks, or less, or not much more. Some are into the hundreds. But, for stacking, an oz is an oz.

When it comes to SAB, not all are created equally. Some are only an Toz. Others are worth way more than the Toz that they contain. Some carry a hefty premium especially those from defunct private mints during the 70's. When silver spiked in '80, many were melted leaving an uncertain remaining population. I have a SAB index/catalog (RedBook for SAB) that indicates rarities. Madison Mint and Hamilton Mint are some of my favorites.

I for one stack mostly 90% Coins but if I get a deal on bars or rounds of any kind and REAL Silver then I'll buy them.

FreedomUIC...Sorry I don't have any links. I have my history set to delete every 24 hours. I started on ebay, jumped to web stores, picked up a few links there, and so on. Google has a few links. A web store in WV is listed on Google. Seems to have fair prices and links to other sites. Today's SAB collecting appears to be stronger than I thought.
