Silver and Relics from 1900's Site

Hello All. Here are a few after work finds from my current site, a group of small town 1900's homes...still gotta do the front yards so more to find...I hope.

The pearl/silver and broken broaches look old. Any ideas on the age are appreciated.

Thanks for the view and good luck. C9

BTW how can I tell if the pearl is authentic?

I would say rub it on a tooth,if it's plastic you will know.

Mind sending some of your weather?:laughing7: I'll send back all the snow you want, just pay postage.

GOD Bless

Chris

Nice finds! Congrats!

Real pearls are heavier than plastic.

Hello worldtalker. Thanks for the reply. Rubbed the "pearl" on my tooth, it feels gritty, wife says that means it is the genuine article. Is she right? If it is real, I wonder about the stones, I thought they would be glass. Any ideas on how to tell? I don't have a diamond tester so maybe this is a job for the local jeweler?

BTW I would send some nice weather your way but it's not so nice here (by FL standards anyway), overcast and in the high 60's right now...should be better tomorrow LOL...sorry about being a "weather snob" but that is one of the great things about 'tectin' in FL. We make up for though because here it is more difficult to dig the great stuff you Nor-Easters do...hope your weather changes for the better soon.

Good Luck and keep the faith...it's always just one hole away. C9

I would say it's real(you have a smart Wife) A jeweler could tell you on the stones. I go to a web cam showing Sloppy Joes in Key West...EVERYDAY,lord I miss that warmth and bathtub water.

OK...pay half the postage and I'll send you some snow. I am soooo anxious to hit the dirt..some day.:laughing7:
