Baldingboy and I snuck out for a hunt. I dug quite a bit of stuff (we went three different places).
I got two silver rosies, '52 and '62, 8 wheats: 35, 44, 45, 46, 52, 54(2), and a 5? the last number is worn past the point of reading.
At the First location we went I dug the side of a cap gun, a small necklace of some kind, a cheap ear ring then got a banging SILVER signal. I thought "Oh Yeah" because we were in an older part of town. Opened the plug up and see the butt of a handgun in the ground. I had great pictures of this but my Iphone decided to delete them, thank you Apple. Anyway The only picture I have is after I washed it off and prior to Baldingboy cleaning it up nicely for me. Turned out to be a 1955 Hubley Trooper cap pistol. In decent shape.
I then found the GM key, looks old to me, maybe late 50s-60s?
We then went to the next location, an old Civil War campsite dug a bunch of junk there, the only things even slightly interesting is the small piece next to the quarter which reminds me of a suspender clip and a tube of lipstick. It's old, its made of copper, but I swear it is a close match to the color of lipstick Baldingboy wears when he detects....
We then moved on to the third location where I dug the two silvers and the wheats. BB found an item at that location that I really love. I'm glad he found it to.
Basically we are both beating our heads against the dry hard ground trying to find OLD silver or something really worth posting for you all to look at.
Thanks for looking at this stuff though.
