Got settled back in to northern Nevada for the summer so time for a hunt. Grabbed my wetsuit and scoop and hit a older, obscure swim beach. The winter was brutal in the Sierras and hasn't really relented just yet. The water is freezing cold still and nobody's going in. I thought I might be able to pull something from summers past at this spot.
Well, I guess so!
First was the 1936 buff, then the silver Claddagh ring.
After another two hours of pulling beaver tails and fishing gear I was heading out of the water (yep, OTWBTTC) I pulled a another ring. It's unmarked and I thought it was junk but it has an unusual look to it so I tested it. It took about 30 seconds for the 10k acid to eat through so that should be in the 8-9k range , I think.
It has a nice piece of turquoise with a pretty black matrix.
Not sure what the stone in the Claddagh ring is.
Okay, got to get back at it now. Going to try a spot on Lake Tahoe today and see what I can sniff out.
