About 2 weeks ago I found a Sterling Silver roller buckle in a farm field along the RR tracks where I have found several CW relics. I secured permission to hunt the fields on the other side of the tracks(about 200 acres) and had a little luck in the first hunt ....This evening I tried the field again and found another Sterling Silver and Gold roller buckle with the letter "R" engraved in it. The buckle was completely exposed on the surface of this freshly plowed field. The back is stamped "Sterling" on one side and "10 KT" on the other side. I also found a 1940 wheatie, a brass lipstick tube? small silver plated buckle, and a silver plated piece of silverware and what i thought was a Spencer or Henry carbine shell...but upon closer inspection , it appears to be a centerfire cartridge. Found a lot of melted aluminum, some pieces of brass and big iron bits and pieces too. Lots of glass and china bits on the surface. I'm feeling pretty good about this field since there are a lot of non-ferrous targets.

Thanx for looking and HH y'all.

Nice finds, the site sounds promising.

So what year is the lippy cartridge thingy? I can only remember plastic, and then it was so brittle I would bust it digging for a coin
