We hit a new permission today, small yard and little hits good or bad. We thought maybe they brought fill dirt in but, believe when they put in the in-ground pool, we think the dug out dirt was spread around the yard.
Only got a handful of hits then got a good 83-84 hit. Flipped a plug and had part of a silver spoon laying in the hole.
We left the new permission and headed to the local high school planning on digging just the low tones. Worked for awhile but, was getting too many shallow 86-87 hits. Quit digging the low tones and started plucking quarters off the surface or just below in the grass roots.
Only spent about an hour gathering up the quarters. Lol

$5 in quarters and a little silver as a bonus........that's a really good day. Nice job, deershed!!

Congrats on the quarterfest. I had a site that I hunted about 10 times and only dug if it rang in as a quarter. Pulled a little over 200 from that area. I have been cleaning up the smaller denomination coins on the past 5 times going there.

Nice quarter digs! :occasion14:
