The Metal Detecting Gods were looking out for me today. I had the day off today. It's been raining for 2 days now. I started late morning in the rain ( drizzle ) after 15 minutes the clouds opened up to see the sun. Thank You.....

I went back to where I dug my 1901-O XF Barber Quarter. Only to find a few wheaties and a lot of clad and the Bronze Pin .
Then went to an older park to see how this park might be. First few swings I pulled a wheatie up. Looked promising.
After about a 1/2 hour I pulled up the 1946 Dime #147 silver and a 1924 penny 10 minutes later the 1943S Silver War Nickel saw the light of day making it # 148.

Not much after that but some change.

The Bronze Pin has the bust of ROBERT M. LaFOLLETTE AND BURTON K. WHEELER C24 on it.
The pin is a 1924 Presidential Political Pin..

The QUEST FOR 150 SILVER COINS for the year is right around the corner....

That campaign pin must be worth some good money. I collect campaign buttons, but I've nothing that old. Very cool find. The silver and wheats aren't bad either. LOL

Nice finds, Bob.That pin is very cool.Good luck on your quest, youve got a couple days left...Joe

Very nice finds and I agree with Treasuretales, that campaign pin could be a very valuable collectors item, I've never heard of either one of them, but that doesn;t mean its not valuable...maybe someone on here can come back to you with a guestimate on tis value...maybe PBK will know?

The latest edition of Hake's price guide for the Encyclopedia of Political Buttons values it at $9.

That's it, just $9.00???!!!! Bummer, if I saw that pin in a store I'd snatch it up for $10.00! LOL Seriously, that puppy looks a whole lot more exciting to me than just 9 bucks.

Very nice find on the political pin. Congrats!! ;D
