Been out of town for a week on business meetings so I was anxious to get back into the dirt. Went to a local park with Dennis after work and tried a new hunting technique and it paid off. I picked out a well hunted spot and gave it a go. In only 15 minutes I got a screaming 12-42 at 6 inches so I started to dig. I thought it would be a Wheatie or a Memorial but to my surprise it was a 1941 Merc. 
Silver #67 for 2012. 
About a foot away from the Merc dig I got a solid 12-40 at 7 inches and there was a green 1944 Wheatie. What a great hobby. Happy hunting!
