My wife and I attended an estate auction last Saturday down in North Dakota. It was at the home of a guy in his 90's, and it used to be the original post office for the town (1907). We bought several items, and later was introduced to him. I got permission to detect, and was dreaming of silver, and especially the elusive walking liberty half. I was able go get down there tonight, and it was almost a total bust. I found lots of junk (not even good junk), and $1.90 in clad, two of the quarters and a dime were1965 blah. Not even a wheatie. Then finally I dug the 1961 quarter, it's in really nice shape, and it's my first Washington of 2014. Oh well, the townsfolk saw me detecting...maybe I can secure permission at some other old yards.

Nice silver Quarter there , on total blocked mode for those this year so far !

Congrats on at least finding a silver. I know what a big letdown it is when you track down a spot that should be great and come away with nothing.

A lot of times it does seem that one hunt leads to another, good luck and thanks for sharing.

I like that one. It's my birth year and one on my list.

She is a beauty!

Nice digs . Thanks for the pics

yeah she's a sweet one, maybe she will lead to other spots nearby
