Found this while scanning the perimeter of an abandoned ball field.

For some reason there isn't a lot of older coins in Seattle area so far for me. Tons of clad. Tons of rain too. Anyways, has anyone had good coin finds in Western Washington?

Interesting thing though, I have only seen one hunter the 20 years I've lived here.

Depth: ~3 inches
Instrument: Tesoro Compadre
Location: Seattle area
Weight: 1.9 grams

Nice ring, glad to hear of people getting out to detect, in Detroit there's still a a ft. Of snow on the grass! This the roughest winter Detroit has had since 1881, hopefully the weather has turned. Happy Hunting.

There are a few md groups near Seattle. Every month about 20 or 30 of us get out and hunt. Crazy it's been that long without you seeing other hunters. Nice find!

Not too many old coins, I still like to try though! :laughing7:

Mostly just wheaties. I've been doing this off and on (mostly off) for about 12 years. Oldest coin is a 1900 IHP. You'll find the occassionally rosie or mercury dime too. Anything much older than that is tough, but I know it's out there! I did find a Barber quarter in a sidewalk strip in Tacoma a while back.
