I detected a farm field today and found a tiny hammered and a bronze ring (XIII-XIV. century)
The stone ring is probably earlier...

So your out in this corn field and you find a coin dated before Columbus "discovered" America. I went to a park Sunday and found 6 pulltabs, 1 screw cap and a memorial penny so corroded I couldn't date it if I wanted to. I love the old world stuff!
