Been wanting to get out for the last two months and was finally able to today. I've been wanting to dig out and sift some areas where I found my no stamp act button a few years back and after reading bill's article in w&e treasures I was excited to get at it. I started out right were I found the button and dug a 4x3 hole and only found bricks and shells and few pieces of small glass. To give my back a break I detected to see if I could find another area with heavy iron signals to try to sift some more. By putting my detector on all metal it really helped pick out some buttons in the heavy iron. My first ok signal was a pewter button. So dug out a 3 foot area that gave me lots of brick and shells. Went back to my original hole and detected in my hole and got two cuff links one with a rose and the other needs a little more cleaning but can see a design in it. I worked around the hole after racking the leaves away and got a few buttons I couldn't pick up before. Only had three hours but removing some leaves and dirt is livening this place up a little. Can't wait to get back for a full day.

Neat finds is that a plate or bowl in the picture, and can you make out the design on the cuff link.vanzutphen

The larger cuff is a Tudor rose the smaller has floral design. Only glass I got was broke up didn't get enough to make out what it is.

Thats some great stuff and seems to be a really old site. Dont see why a cut piece or cob wouldnt pop up! I'm headed out tomorrow. 60 here today and same tomorrow.

Thanks. You would think there would be some silver here. After close to forty buttons several complete buckle and other relics its only gave up three coins a kg111, conneticut and a 1808 half cent. All very shallow. I think pushed up by roots. If I keep digging I hope to get some more. Average depth seems to be around 10" +.

Glad the snows relenting and you guys can get out.
