I tried my new pan out , the dirt was fine and black there. I spent about 40 mins doing it. Found some buttons and few personal items. This snap button says United and in right light says CARR underneath.

Yes by using one and screening the soil, you will find lots of good non metallic stuff, especially old sites.

After button under magnifying glass it's says United Carr. I looked up and it's from a WW2 helmet strap or pilot cap strap
