Well went out today after some sidewalk tearouts and tried my luck. Didn't find much other than this buffalo nickel and piece of flattened lead with h.w. + h.p. scratched in it. Plus found this bullet and casing. Haven't been able to get there right after they tear them out but met a guy day before yesterday who showed me a pair of gold cuff links and a cs buckle he pulled from there. Lots of civil war history just haven't got there before the other vultures have.

Hey, finding a nickel and piece of flattened lead is better then nothing civil_war22. Thanks for sharing...
 

I have found several pieces of flat lead on a union campsite with scratch marks in it and this was folded over. On the back it's more white And when I bent it back flat the white started turning grey from stressing it
