This was the first year I kept track of every coin I found on the ground. The results -

Pennies - $3.18 (318, oldest 1961)
Nickels - 1.25 (25, oldest 1941-D)
Dimes - 4.80 (48, oldest 1967)
Quarters - 2.00 (8, oldest 1977)
Halves - 1.00 (2, oldest 1976)

Total - $12.23 (Enough for a movie! :icon_thumright:)

Other finds:

Canada five cents (1981)
Canada ten cents (1988)
Great Britain pennies (2000, 2003)
Three "No Cash Value" arcade tokens
One plastic mini US quarter (1995)

So if you walk by me, don't be offended if I'm not making eye contact. I'm always scanning the ground for the change you dropped!

I find that when I'm not able to get out and MD, I spend more time looking at the ground wherever I go
I guess I'm dreaming of nicer weather. LOL

$12.23 on top of the ground, funny the wife & I had made a bet to see who could find the most on the ground this year, winner takes all!

I did the same thing, got over $80- Nice job!
