Worked a sidewalk tear-out that I have been waiting for. Apparently, others were also waiting as I had plenty of competition. Still pulled out a nice handful of finds.

Double Eagle Brass Seal 040624.jpg
Not sure what it is. It is thin brass and appears to be some kind of seal. Has the design of a double eagle on it.

Patriot Token Obverse 040624.jpgPatriot Token Reverse 040624.jpg

Beautiful patriotic token! Looks to have a cracked die error. The coin is not cracked. Unfortunately I poked this one with the digger. :BangHead:

IHPs 040624.jpgIHPs Reverse 040624.jpg

Nice trio of Indians. Two are fatties.

Military Button 040624.jpg

Two piece. Gold gilt. Unfortunately smashed. Can not make out back mark.
Bullet Casing 040624.jpg

Rim fire bullet casing. Larger than a .22. Not sure I've ever seen one that says US on the end.

You got some sweet finds there, congrats!
I wonder if the thin brass could be from a counterfeit coin, maybe filled with lead to feel like gold?
Very cool regardless!

Those are great old coin and token finds. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

cool stuff!
The rimfire brass ,might be a .32 S&W short, an early pistol cartridge.

VERY well done thanks for posting for us

Great finds! Love the token!!

great finds! I copied the following info from a google search - The headstamp "US" was used by the United States Cartridge Co., of Lowell, Mass., from the 1880's until 1926.
