Two days in a row at the silver farm without any silver! :'( Managed a few wheats and some clad, but none of the good stuff. The last 24 hours haven't been without excitement, however. At 4 something this morning, my wife and I were awakened by a noise, and in the darkness I could see something flying around our room. Now how did that bat get in here? We turned on lights and then chased it around the house until he made the mistake of flying into our bathroom. With the door closed, I was able to throw a towel over him and escort him back outside. The comical part was watching the wife shriek and duck every time he flew near her. ;D

Wow! Could it have been a vampire bat? I hope you were wearing a silver cross when you caught it. Congrats on the finds also.

the bat was just detecting some dinner and got lost hope you get off the shneid and find some coins

That happened to my wife and I about 10 yrs ago. I to woke up to see something flying round and round the ceiling fan that was on since it was summer. I slowly rolled over and said to my wife, don't panic but there is a bat flying above us. She rolled on her back looked up, screamed, and did a Carl Lewis sprint out of the room. So much for the don't panic part.

I had some surgery done last December. While lying half awake on the table, still in the operating room, a bat flew in there. They called a maintenance guy in and he showed up with a badmitten racket. (Don't know where he got that) Anyway, it was not such a happy ending for that bat and they had to remove every exposed instrument from the room for re-sterilization.

We had one get into the house and, with two cats following its every move, I was trying to trap it with a towel. I made it out of the bedroom and into the living room. In spite of it's radar it was no match for the ceiling fan. SMACK! Right past me and into the wall. BLAM! Before it hit the floor one of our cats nailed it. Not good. Luckily it turned out negative to rabies.

Good 'ol AL Lewis. Did you know he ran for NY Governor on the Green Party and got enough votes to register the party? Now, how many here remember him as Officer Schnauzer from Car 54, Where Are You? :D

Also starring Fred Gwynne!
