Nice wheels guys love to go off road have to wait for rains to quit don't want to get caught between washes. 8) 8)

My trail rig has been thru many transformations over the years....in fact the purchase was due to rolling a perfectly good toyota on the back trail to cleator many moons ago.

Even though i do not live in az anymore i do get down there a few times a year and the 79 will be trailered down to be my workhorse when it comes to my site. I recently purchased a clean M105A2 to pull behind her for the extra gear.

Recent mods include 4.88 gears....14B FF rear end...ARB lockers front and rear...rear disc brakes..700R4 O/D trans...Offroad Design doubler transfer case....Offroad design front bumper....front axle has chrome moly everything to include the super moly u-joints.....and cross over steering.

Any of youse guys goin' have any time, week or ten days off this fall ? ???
I am planning to search for a site in the VERY! NW Corner of Ariz., for a cave ..
It has some very interesting items in it ! ::)
I will be up there, camping in a base camp, if you care to make it !
Remember, this is a VERY! REMOTE :o section of Arizona!
Miles from anything!
If nothing else, it'll be an adventure!
If the cave is found!
It'll buy many a 4x4 !
Drop me a "Post" here, if you're interested!

NW...would be the page area...or the rough as a cob area south of saint george utah one would think.
And i have heard that heading into kingman via that route there maybe a trail marker or to seen off the highway in the form of a profile head but i have never had the time to look for myself.

The K5 although not ready for duty at this point currently as i have to modify the floor pan to mount the tcase yoke mounted parking brake disc....and a few other major items on the list before she is ready....is quite capable of going anywhere as long as she fits....ie...up dry waterfalls...over boulders etc. The march 2003 issue of offroad has a pic or two of here on raw deal outside of phx before she became tan....

Plus...i run a laptop stand in the truck to run my garmin usb 18 software....so as long as i have gps coords i can arrive anywhere...

But the time i actually get away from the oilpatch is very slim so i am lucky to work on my own sight in az 2 or 3 times a year so i'm afraid i can't offer up any help as i'll be down for the 3rd annual LDMH get together in late october an plan to be down a week early to work my site.

Yep! (To The St. George Area)
I am referring to that VERY NW Corner of Arizona, 'bout 45 miles east of the Virgin River!
Well!
If you need some help, ie: "aerial", over your area/site, etc.
Drop me a line
My bother has a Comm. Pilot's Lic ( Lives in NE Phx.) and I also, have a friend in Gilbert who owns her own airplane
Plus, I have unlimited time!

HI ya Bill. this my present off road wagon, I have yet to stick it. Lockers etc.

I have gone the foot > mule > truck > Aircraft >Isuzu Diesle, and now this one.

The road to Tayopa is 55 miles from the paved road, it is aprox. 5 1/2 - 6 hrs in dry weather

You will be up to Tayopa one of these days so we have installed a modern convenience for you - see second picture.

We got a little, but it looks like the Superstition mountain got it bad. You can just barely see the NW end in this pic :) Normally I'd be able to see all of the mountain in this shot.
No, that's not my house, it's around the corner a bit.
