WOW! What a nice legal weapon to carry under the front seat of your vehicle. That thing could put a serious hurt on some idiot's head and it could be argued you had it to shovel your vehicle out of the mud or snow. You may not know it but the courts puts things that you use in self defense into consideration.

I'm not sure if that would pass the normal shovel test but it's worth it if some idiot is trying to get into your vehicle, or give you problems MD'ing or prospecting.

Thanks for showing that. We all should have one. Oh, just me, but I would drill a hole in the handle and put a rope on it so it couldn't be jerked out of my hand.

Not a bad idea about the rope. They sale them at Walmart. I've seen them where I live. $50.00

I like,my .45 under my seat & my .38 or my 380 on my side

Yep, a sidearm is always your best bet. But, I don't know where you live but around here is your caught with a firearm on school grounds or some public parks, your in for a world of hurt.

I believe this little "shovel" would pass the school ground test and provide you with a nice defense weapon. It would take a stone cold idiot to come after you with that shovel in your hand.

Then again, from the looks of the guys who hang out around the schools when they close, or weekends smoking whatever, I think they qualify for stone cold idiots. I'm getting one. Maybe two, one for my wife. With my whetstone I can have that thing razor sharp on four sides. I don't plan on it ever touching the ground.

Stone...maybe you can put this photo in General Discussion where more folks can see it. You've found something of real interest. Again, thank you.

Ya pretty much thats the Same laws here in mass & ill only bring one with me if I venture out into the deep Woods & if im alone, parks, schools places like that the old lesche shovels stuff like that will do wonders

Very nice. Just found them on Ebay for 45 bucks. Gonna pick a zombie green one up when I get caught up on bills. Thanks

Same here, Springfield .45 in vehicle and 9mm conceal carry.......

On school grounds here firearm are required to be secured in vehicle not on your person, but all play grounds and parks are legal to conceal carry...

ill get in on this too, Glock 27 .40 and Rugar LCP .380! Yes sir!

Here we go i knew there were more i carry to protect my family,& me i mean lets be serious ur out in the Woods by urself with thousands of dollars in detecting equipment really ya might not carry, I already got robbed 2 machines & alot of gear not starting over twice in 1 year, better to have & not use then not have & be a victim

I also will rely on my 45 acp. Know ur in the right when you pull

I would carry also but I can't afford anything like that. I'm poor... I had to sell my detector a while back along with my 870 express and vintage Marlin 30-30. I had rent to pay, food to buy and had no choice. Hard to provide for a family of four on $300 a week.

Sorry to hear of the hardships.....

Thanks but I'm sure I'm not alone.

TH--Late in responding, but here in my state a firearm in your vehicle, on school property is a zero no-no policy. Every time someone is caught the courts make a big deal out of it. Front page news. I remember two teachers, with lots of tenure losing their jobs because they had a pistol in their trunks. Both were joggers and carried a pistol in their fanny packs. Both were fired and lost their jobs. And lost their appeals.

Then again, wont go into, a local science teacher was caught with a 1911, fully loaded, in his book bag, in his classroom. Long story why. He lost his job too. Think he pulled a few months jail time.

I "always" carry when I'm out in the boonies. Sure made me comfortable a few times.

Im sorry but I will always carry it really stinks that in alot of places now there tring to take away ur right to bear arms, I mean its my right, to protect myself, my family aswell, there are places that dont need to be armed a little comon sence could go along way. I beleive I read I think last year more people had there ltc's & crime was goin down. Just a shame, there are good people who carry a firearm it doesnt make you a tough guy, it should be ur right period, but because of loose cannon (people)like everything else have given gun owners a bad name, go figure

Take 15- 20 bucks to home depot.Buy the makings for a home made shotgun. Its fully legal to do so as long as it stays within the law.Get yourself armed.Just ask the WW2 Philippine guerrillas.

Ill admit its cool but, thats askin for more death putting a firearm in the hands of a non lisenced user or some one not knowing the fundamentales of firearms is a recipe for disaster. Im lisecned to carry in a lot of States but I went threw countless hours of testing, there are reasons why we all cant have firearms weather arrested, not old enough ect. Like I said it does look cool but not a good idea, I can just see now all the 12-17 year old kids on this Forum & now got the idea to make a shot gun,
