my finds dont really fall into this catagory but I do find all my finds in vacant houses. This is sterling silver and possible German made I am thinking turn of the century....I could post a few pages with the stuff I find......If I do decide to sell this should I go the Ebay route or how to find a collector for these type things, thanks

That's a beautiful find! Put it on eBay for what you'll take for it and if it doesn't sell on there then sell it for melt.

I wouldn't sell it for melt. If you do, let me know and I'll buy it.

I would take it to an antique dealer, and see what they have to say and what they would offer. Then you know the value to
a collector would be much higher, not sure what their mark up is, but jewelers mark up around 5 times. I am not an
expert, but do some research on values so you get close to whats it truly worth.

That piece is made by the Mauser Manufacturing Company. They were in business from 1887-1903, so you have a bonafide antique. It looks like a double stamp box (if they fit). Do not sell it for scrap, it's worth many times it's melt value.

Ebay or even a local auction house would work just fine for this. Nice find!

Find out as much info as you can and list it on eBay. Put lots of info and pics and it will get it's worth. I would run it for at least 10 days. Nice find

Let us know if you put it on ebay. I might like to bid.
