I don't know much about glassware, and I tend to buy on instinct in general rather than based on a repository of facts that I should have but don't :dontknow:. Anyways, my non-expert opinion is that those are definitely worth putting up on ebay

The only bad thing about selling them on e-bay.Is the packing and shipping in such a way that you can make money. If you have some antique stores around you, you might be better off seeing what they will give you for them.Or evan with good pictures craigs list.Hope that helps.good luck

These two pieces look a lot like Majolica style pottery. If they are, probably want to put them on ebay. Might be worth a little research. I recognize this style because I once, unknowingly, put a whole set out in a yard sale. Luckily my aunt came by who is antique savvy. With a shocked look on her face, as she's gathering it up by the arm load, says "OH NO, we've got to get these out of the yard sale. It's Majolica! You need to ebay them!" :laughing7:...hope this helps.

IMHO - it all depends on your objective centfladigger. If you want more money (with more work like packing, shipping, praying it arrives in good condition, etc.) - go EBay. If you just want to move it and make a few buck - yard sale.

Hey cfd, beautiful china! I'd go Ebay, cause in S.Florida here, it makes me mad when I get offered a nickel for something I got priced at $4 or $5 dollars! I have a piece of the Steuven glass in my etsy store also.
You really picked some lovely pieces! Good luck!

I can tell you that the Royal Sealy yellow rose cup & saucer should be good for about $25. The Rueven goblets, i'd list for $50 for the 4 (if i'm seeing your photo right). The Lefton pattern is called "Heirloom Rose". If you have all 4 cups to go with the snack/lunch plates then i'd start them at $29.99 for the complete set. The red and white set looks like maybe Johnson Brothers or Meakin. Not worth too much probably. The "majolica" looks like mid century Japan made maybe, but if that's the only 2 pieces then?... The Avon, forget about it. The last photo appears to be what is called "goofus glass," it's a powder or dresser jar, good for $15 or $20. There is money to be made if everything is in good condition and you take the effort to list it.

thanks for the replies and help, I will and do take the time to list what I think would sell on Ebay, problem is I bring sooooo much stuff home all the time, after a while it gets overwhelming on what I thought was good and would sell. I have been trying to go through piles and putting items good for a yard sale in separate containers and Ebay in the others..

I can fully relate. My problem is, i'm running out of room to store the stuff. I'd hate to have to have another yard sale in the middle of summer but I may have no choice. I don't want to rent another storage locker. This stuff has to go!

I thought the Haitians usually offered a quarter, not a nickel! LOL

I can relate as well. I'm weighing the cost of a storage unit against the cost of "storing" in an antiques mall booth. The booth if, close in cost ,would of course serve a dual purpose.

storage isnt a problem, I have acreage, and a 20X60 shop out back with another workshop attached, did have to buy another safe for the good stuff, but I am just tired of looking at all this everyday, its all over my desk, kitchen table, piles here and there, garage is totally jacked up and covered, my vehicle is constantly full...I give away stuff all the time to family or friends looking for something in particular...this is all I do, I just now at 11:45 pm got done entering in work from today, this stuff is from work, I am getting tired of being reminded of work, lol have to do payroll in the morning...work, will get calls from my crews tomorrow because they cant seem to follow work order..work,lol glad to have a job and love the treasure hunting but need a vacation :occasion14:

don't get me wrong on my last post, I do love the hunt or the find and am amazed at what people deem trash or just leave behind..like all these Rookie Ben graded cards,,,who leaves this back? the full box of Sterling Marshall Field and Co 108 pieces..who leaves that behind?? and the house was trashed by kids for 2 years but they overlooked this?? The Star Wars case, I have 4 or 5 boxes with the 1970`s stuff from this movie...the rolex watch box I did sell recently got over $100 for it, treasure is everywhere, just have to be informed and I am daily on this site from all of you...I do love a good rescue
