I spent 7 hours 15 minutes gridding & Dad joined me for just 1 hour (getting a Livery Button) to help finish 1 edge of the site. The Roman coins just suddenly stopped, so I switched sides, however this area has mostly Medieval & no Roman activity. Still it was good whilst it lasted & I still have a few days of gridding left.

10 Roman Coins
Roman Axe Pendant
Tudor Button
Celtic Bronze Unit (near blank)
Buckles
Medieval Casket Key
Saxon Wrist Clasp (Bent)
2 Lead Tokens
17th C Token
Rose Farthing
2 Jettons
Hammered Ed III Penny

Running low? Looks like a pretty good haul to me Cru! Maybe I need to hitch a ride over to your neck of the woods next time my brother has to go to the Lloyds office in London:laughing7:

And still a day with a Saxon find! You must have an exact picture of the site now. :icon_thumleft:

I'm trying to imagine how huge your buckle collection must be - Very nice on the Edward III (I guess you need an extra house for your
buttons by now as well )

Here is a display I did, of just a few of them in the local Museum.

Sorry, just thought, I should have added 'of Roman Coins'. We were getting about 30 a day. Now we have got the whole boundries, we will be lucky to get 5 a day.

That buckle display is really great. I wish my sites slowed down like yours do. When mine are at the end its usually just a few small tombacs or flat buttons. Lucky if I pull any coins towards the end

That's Awesome..

I wish , I were that Organized .

I was also wondering what you would do with all the Buckle , Button, & other Mis, Pieces of Old Stuff that , I for one
would not want to throw away, maybe such pieces can be used in Restoration Projects??

Great Stuff

Most of my Sites , Don't Even come close to starting like yours.

Heck , I've only dug 2 or 3 Flat Buttons in my many years of Detecting & one was missing a Fourth of its face .

If a restoration project showed interested in all my undecorated types, they could have them. The rest I keep, in sorted printer block trays.
