Hello All. I found these items yesterday at two side by side small town 1920's homes. Got (97) clad coins...Uhg, digging clad can be real tiring, some 100-YR old shot shells, an old lead seal, (2) Wheaties, and (6) tokens.

I think the amusement tokens are c.1920's and the bank one is 19-teens.

Not a bad hunt but sadly no silver, maybe today.

Thanks for the view and good luck to everyone. C9

Nice finds. I found one of the OK vender tokens a couple of weeks back, at first I thought it was a washer till I cleaned it.

Its not my place to correct anybody and I apologize if I offended you, but those those things that you refer to as shotgun shells are what are called headstamps. Given that there appears to be no plastic attached and knowing a little about headstamps myself, these roughly date from the early 1900's and were more likely to be paper shells.

no silver but still great finds nonetheless.

Hello MuckyBottles. No offense taken. I have found several hundred of these and they were definitely paper shells. The term "head stamp" can be used for several types of ammo. I used the term "shot shells" to distinguish them from rifle and handgun casing. Please see the link below and thanks for the reply. C9
