I made it to the river a few weeks ago and found 1.41 in clad and this cross. Started not to clean it, but it had a 92.5 sterling silver stamp and didn't figure it was old piece. Tried to clean it up some.
I like rivers too, i found that working the bench downstream gives you finds from the younger to the older (in time) as the river move sediments...
obiously the objects are ruled by geologic laws of sediment deposition and in areas filled of lead sinks i found gold objects years ago.
