Short hunt yields my first Gold & Diamonds of 2008

I had a couple hours today to hunt and thought I would give the Explorer 2 another work out. I shivered from the time I got out to the time I came in. IT WAS COLD and Windy. I started digging everything just to try and stay warm. Then I heard a low tone belch out of the Explorer and I thought well it's to low for a tab, probably another nickel then I popped the plug out and GOOOOLLLLDDDD. I yelled at KirkTN (my brother) who was detectin the otherside of the field. He come running when he seen the look on my face, I said ring, he replied BullSh---t. The first real ring from the old Fairground was in my hand. I took some pics. It's 10K Cluster, I'm assuming the Diamonds are real. My wife gladly volunteered to be my hand model for the pic .
P.S. Also come away with some cool old keys, 5 - Wheats and another Buffalo--no date.

Brother Kicked by tail again today. I'll always remember today, like he said it was freezing, but gold has a way of warming things up. I'm really glad I was there when he found it. Way to go Bro.

That's a beautiful ring!! But you're doing things all wrong, John. When you find something like that, you stash it away without telling your wife. Then, when your anniversay comes along, you put it in a ring box, wrap it up, give it to her and say "Happy Anniversary, honey."

Thanks Guys, Ray I wish I would have waited to show it to her. I guess the kid in me came out and I just couldn't wait to show it to her. You see I have this addiction with buying metal detectors and she's always saying what do I get. WELL here's what you get sweety, sugar dumpling. I get detectors you get Gold sounds feasible to me. What do you think? LOL
