Short hunt nets silver and a whatzit NEW PICS ADDED

Went out to an old house thats being renovated.yard is all plowed up and got a 1947 quarter, and a whatzit im thinking lamp or chandelier any help would be appreciated thank you
kent this item appears to be silver but cant find any marks

Have you examined the silver whatzit for a hinge? It almost looks like a hippy herb holder...some used to wear them like necklaces. Or maybe a really weird watch fob? Cool.

I think your whatzit is part of a necklace, and is probably 30 to 40 years older than your quarter. cool find
