Yesterday I spent 2 hours in a yard down the street that I have been hitting lately. I got my third silver from this yard, a 1938 Merc plus a few other things.

I really expected to see more of this when I got permission for this lot, but most of the coins have been from the clad era.

The Merc is in pretty nice shape, better than this picture shows. I also got a nice Pittsburgh Railways trolley token.

After opening up a plug, I saw some cobalt blue glass in the sidewall. Turned out to be this little Vicks Drops bottle.

Thanks for looking, good luck, and stay safe

Cool finds Steve! Nice silver, token and always fun to find blue glass intact. Congrats

Nice bunch of finds- Congrats!

That's a cool Vicks bottle. I don't remember seeing dates on Pittsburgh Railway tokens.

Very cool finds, looks like a great place to hunt! :icon_thumleft:

Thanks Thad. This lot is full of modern clad, but there are a few older coins to be found.

Thanks JG. I used to find these little Vicks bottles back in my bottle digging days and I would just toss them because they weren't old enough. I think I'll keep this one :laughing7:

Nice going on the silver and the bottle. I was surprised at what of the asking prices are on the miniature.

Thanks Mudflap. This token is the most common one we find around here. They are all dated 1922.

Thanks Prof. What makes this place attractive is that it's just 100 yards down the street.
Cool little bottle. Never have seen one like it. Looks like a fun hunt with some nice finds.
Thanks Roamer. Like I said above, I used to find them when I was younger digging in the bottle dumps, but I didn't take them home because they weren't that old.

Nice finds! Merc's are always a welcome sight in my plug! That little blue bottle is really cool too!

I like the bottle the best. Used to bottle dig as a kid & was always after the blue bottles!

A great assortment of finds. You must have dug them quick to get all that in two hours.

Nice!!!!! I’ve found 2 of those Pittsburgh railway tokens up here, both in the same park

Thanks Cru I also spent a lot of time digging bottles when I was young.

Thanks Thrifty, there are still a lot of targets in this lot. Up to now I have been cherry picking dime, quarter, and deeper penny signals.

That's crazy you have found them in Central Massachusetts!
