Haven't been to the picnic grove in a while so I decided to go see if the caretaker was around and sure enough he was.
After some small talk ,he said. If you want to go play go ahead.
Off I went..
Found a 1911D wheat after a few minutes. Soon after, got 4 more more wheat's in 2 different holes.
Some clad and then I got a strong bottle cap signal at 1 1/2 inches. I thought that that it was going to be 1 of those
big aluminum screw caps or maybe a gold class ring ( that's where my last one came in at ) so I dug it up.
Was I surprised when I saw the 1897 I H ( It's my lucky 13th I H for the year ) Funny thing is I always found 30's thru 60's coins in this area of the grove.
In all I spent about an hour and half detecting and got 1 IH, 7 Wheat's, 39 cents some junk but No Silver this time... can't complain I got 1 good keeper..
