Cru'dad & I decided to do a short 1.5 hour hunt before last light. The field we decided on is a massive one with 3 Sites on it - A Roman Site, 'The Trackway Site' & 'The Hill' Site which are mostly Saxon. I wanted to stay off the well gridded areas & try the slope below the Trackway Site.
Paid off, pretty well:

1 Scrappy
Tudor Button
1788-1800 Officers silver plated IV Queens Own Dragoon's Button
Cut half penny (Short-cross hammered)
A Viking Fitment (type I've not seen, but has the right metal type & hidden beast faces)

One of the reasons for the scout was because I plan to take a visitor on it & wanted to make sure it was worth it.

Well done....but if I were your visitor I would be satisfied with just a few of your scrappies. I hope you guys come away with more goodies:thumbsup:

You didn't had many Viking items this year, i hope you get some more with Viking activity there!

I'll take them on the nearby Roman Site first, to see if we can start that way...

Well done on the short hunt, I think the visitor would be right pleased with finds that mirrored this hunt.

Wow!!! Certainly looks worth it to me!
