Short civil war hunt

I got to detect a backyard in my neighborhood for about 1 1/2 hours last night. It was a little slow at first, but then 30 minutes in I Dug an eagle button. The sun was setting on me towards the end and I dug the buckle clip. I decided to stay longer but had to go after the 3rd call from the wife about what's for dinner.

My favorite is the dog! Funny stuff about the phone calls from the wife...I'm all to familiar with those calls. I don't think they understand the process just to answer the phone. Remove gloves, headphones, put down the detector then find phone ha ha

I know, I add another 5 minutes for every phone call I get. But I don't tell her that.

I make sure to get my headphones close to the phone so my wife hears the poppin' and beepin'.....and I say "huh" a lot.

Yes, minie ball, I think either a garner or spencer but not sure.

It is a spencer carbine. I like the arrow hooks. I would bet there is a whole plate around there.

Yes, just returned this evening for another hour. Didn't find the buckle but did find a 1896 British penny. I also obtained permission for the yard next door, the clip was found 7 feet from
Their fence line. So who knows, it not over yet.
