Land-magnet & I went to pick up our signed contract with one of our newest farmers, very nice lady who will be a pleasure to work with. We asked her about a small game strip area, & she said OK. On the way to the site we had to access it via someone's private property, so we stopped & knocked on the door to ask if we could access the site in the future. He was very interested in Detecting & so were the kids & he asked us to try his fields as well. We said we would return in 1 hour & try it.
Didn't find much in the small areas we could do but I was very pleased to get a button I haven't found before:
Manchester Corporation Transport Button
When we returned to the house & tried the field we only got a 1918 Penny & a window latch which we gave to the kids (although I did dig a piece of 1st century pottery which I gave them as well). More importantly we have access to the site, a gate guardian, & another horse paddock to try which is right next to a Saxon Church (& we were not even looking for land)
