these two items were found near where i recently found the eagle saddle pommel (posted nov. 2 in "today's finds" titled "i have this thing with finding eagles"). they were both at about 5-6 inches deep. i believe they are both copper (not completely sure about this0> the one that i think may be a shoe buckle has a wrinkled piece of what i think is leather still in the middle. on the back is bar with two holes in it. no lettering at all that i can see. the other object also has no lettering that is visible. i have not cleaned them beyond a light rinse with water, although the buckle? is "shedding" some of the corrosion just in handling. i would like to clean them but unsure of what to use. thanks for looking, any help is appreciated!! sorry about the blurry pics, this is the first time i've taken and posted pictures without the help of the younger generation!
