Found this md'ing the other day. Google came up with nothing. It is a brass or copper "plate" 12.75" x 2.75". It is concave like it went on a pipe or leg of something. Kind oh eavy. Two small mounting holes on each end.

a simple guess...the dimensions indicate a mail/letter slot.possibly part of that mechanism for a co. of that name
