I've got the same watch and like the waving arm cause it's funny.. I knew it was Chairman Mao but didn't Have a clue about the back. In the near future, I think I will be sending my translation questions to you Yang Hao!

That's Mao Tse Tung, a failure as a Human being. One of the original purveyors of Leftism/Socialism/Communism and a Genocidal Serial Killer. Not only was his image put on a watch, it was also put on an Xmas tree ornament recently (2009)...and displayed on a tree in the White house by some of the "admirer's" of his handywork:

That's a famous print by Andy Warhol. One of the prints is hanging in the Chicago Institute of Arts. It's art. On an ornament.
