I am doing some research on HMS Asia, scuttled at Bay of Bulls in 1701. I originally thought this wreck was off Newfoundland, but according some other information I found she was stationed at Gibraltar, found to be unseaworthy, towed into Bay of Bulls and scuttled. I know there is a Bay of Bulls off Newfoundland, and there is a Bulls Bay, South Carolina, but is there anywhere else named that near Gibraltar or off the coast of Spain?

Thanks in Advance,

GH

Seems the Spanish referred to a place near Lake Maricaibo as Gibralter as well. To wit; read the chapters about L'Olonais (spelling?) in "Bucanneers of America" and his attack on that area after leaving some of his boys at Isla Beata in D.R. I could not pin down the exact location myself and it may be immaterial, but I don't know what you have exactly. I'd like to know more about "Gibralter" in the Caribbean.

You are absolutely right about Gibraltar.

There also is a Port Royal, Jamaica, a Port Royal, Canada and a Port Royal, South Carolina. I'm trying to finish the final edits of my book just to make sure every wreck is in the correct section.

There's a Presque Isle on both Lake Huron and Lake Erie and the village of Pres'quile on Lake Ontario.

I have found at least a dozen Hog Island's.

It has been a choir, but I am trying to get things right.
