New to the forums and I thought I'd show you guys some things I've been finding recently that I think you'd enjoy. For the most part this stuff being found is random, but some of it is off wrecks. I'm no expert diver and have only been doing this for less than a year but I'm more than hooked. Let me know what you think!

Cool stuff, hope the experts chime in with their thoughts

St. Thomas me thinks. Love the pieces with the ceramics encrusted to them. PM me if you are interested in selling any of those type pieces. Your bar shot looks good, did you fully conserve it using electrolytic reduction? I only ask because if you just removed the coral, it will most likely be a pile of dust in a few months if not properly done. Some nice finds for sure, keep us posted on your work.

Venus I think! :). Very cool finds webby!

You guessed it!

ScubaFinder, Those pieces are pretty darn cool but I don't really sell anything I find, instead I donate most of my larger items to a museum where I'm at. Unfortunately I've only been able to continually soak the barshot in fresh water that I've been flushing out daily for over a month. I'll do what I can with it and if it ever shows any signs of degradation I'll just continue to soak it until I can find someone who can help me preserve it the right way.

Webby, your iron artifacts will require electrolysis treatment. Iron is porous and the salt will penetrate the iron right to the core. Soaking them in fresh water will not do it, you need to ionize the salt molecules and draw them out with a DC electric current. There is tons of info on the web about the subject and it is fairly simple to set up. Treatment for iron cannon balls can take months but it is worth it. If you wait until you see cracks appearing on your items it's way too late.

Webby, I was going to suggest that you contact Sean L, but looking closely at the pictures, I see that you already know him! Good luck this weekend. Tom
