Great scores and congrats on getting out. While only guessing the larger item resembles a trivet. Possibly for use with an old iron. I,m starting to wonder about irons found in/near salt water as in if they had a use beyond ironing cloths.

Like Revelentchair, I believe the larger item is a trivet for an antique iron; my grandmother had one like it; nice antique find!
